For Professionals

Training And Networking For Professionals
The Divorce Center regularly schedules professional development events for members of the various professional disciplines that deal with divorcing clients.

Our Networking/Professional Development breakfast meetings are the primary means through which we expand the breadth of knowledge and understanding of the divorce professional community. These breakfast meetings offer professionals from multiple disciplines the opportunity to meet each other in an informal setting, share thoughts and ideas, discover how to help one another on cases, and receive education relating to divorce and the particular needs of divorcing clients.

As an example of what we do, we teach divorce law to psychologists and other non-lawyers; the psychology of divorcing people to lawyers and other non-therapists; and the tax effects of divorce to non-accountants. The goal is to help professionals expand their perspective of divorce, gain a more holistic viewpoint, and reduce the trauma of divorce for their clients.
Our next professional meeting will be held April 30, 2008 at the Wellesley Community Center, 219 Washington St., Wellesley, MA.

Guest Speaker: Thomas E. Workman, Jr., Esquire
